Literally, this is my first Amazon review. I know a lot of people say that, but I have never been compelled to leave a review before on Amazon. In this case, I cannot NOT leave a positive review. Please read through, as it may help in your purchase decision.I cannot say enough good things about my experience with D&M Leather and their products. I originally was interested in a leather cover my Moleskine notebook, but was LITERALLY amazed at the high quality in workmanship with the leather, button, thread & sewing, and style, that I seriously looked into the rest of their product line. When I say “high quality” I am not exaggerating, in fact, it is an understatement! I have not seen this kind of quality and consistency in overall workmanship in the States for quite some time, regardless of the price. D&M Leather is truly a rare find. Aside from the style and quality of workmanship, the leather itself that they use is thick, high grade leather, and is not the goat or lamb often used by other companies inside or outside of the States. It is truly cowhide leather and when you see it and touch it, there’s no doubt this quality of leather hasn’t been specialized in for decades. It is no less than the quality of the late 19th and early half 20th century – I kid you not. The products are nothing less than what was used during the 1930s-1940s, it really is vintage quality, better than advertised! If you like the movie “Raiders of the Lost Ark”, you’ll recognize the kind of vintage period quality I’m speaking of. When it comes to customer service, they are “bar none” the best, most attentive customer service I have EVER experienced through Amazon, or even from brick and mortar retailers. Alice Chen and her crew have gone above and beyond to make sure I am happy with the products I’ve purchased.One more thing, very important, I have asked for specific customizations for different product purchases and they have been very cordial and very open to any ideas I have had and have come through each and every time. In fact, they’ve even communicated via email sending pictures before finalizing the product to make sure we are both on the “same page” for the customization ideas I’ve had. In some cases, they have also made some suggestions of their own regarding my ideas, that turned out better than I had originally thought of!I went from just looking for a good quality vintage leather cover for my Moleskine Notebook to purchasing: Sleeve for my Macbook Pro, Midori style travel journal cover (end product very classy by the way), cable management cord organizer for Macbook Pro cabels/accessories, portfolio cover/organizer for notepads, wallet case for my cell phone, pocket size field notes cover, Vintage A5 Agenda Organizer, Passport/Card case cover, Wallet, art pencil/pen pouch, iPad cover, gifts as well – ALL EXTREMELY HIGH QUALITY craftsmanship and materials used. Without a doubt, I will be making future purchases from D&M Leather. Those I gave gifts to, were very, very impressed and have expressed that they also have not seen this kind of vintage quality for many years.Again, I cannot express enough good things about D&M Leather and I highly recommend you take a serious look at their product line, and once you make a purchase, ANY purchase, you will see why I say their extremely high level of quality in craftsmanship, style, and customer service are unsurpassed.
